Who we are / responsibility for data processing

IDS - Investigação Desenvolvimento Saúde, Unipessoal Lda, a business corporation formed and operating in accordance with Portuguese Law with share capital of 535,000.00 euros and registered office at Rua do Moderno, Lote 1, Casais do Quintão, 2005-021 Várzea STR – Portugal, registered in the Companies Registry Office of Santarém under registration and VAT number 510 531 288, is responsible for operating the websites below, as well as processing the personal data collected, through which users have access to content made available by IDS through the following addresses:

Information

The General Data Protection Regulation was enforced on 25 May 2018 and regulates and ensure the protection of personal data of natural persons. It defines "personal data" as any information relating to the identification of the data subject and/or that may lead, directly or indirectly, to its identification. 

The GDPR and, consequently, this Privacy Policy is applied to personal data of natural persons only and does not include the data of legal persons.

By accepting this Privacy Policy, you give IDS consent to process your personal data for the purposes set out below. 

If consent for managing personal data is required by Law, the data subject is entitled to withdraw its consent at any given moment. Nevertheless, the exercise of this right shall not render unlawful the data processing and handling carried under the previously given consent, nor the further processing of the same data with the purpose to comply with legal obligations or pursuing IDS legitimate interests.

The user is free to refuse our request for personal data, however, this may prevent the supply of some of our services. 

 

Purposes

Personal data is collected solely for the purposes of replying to information requests, ordering samples of our products, subscribing to our newsletter, and concluding contracts. 

The personal data collected for the purpose of negotiation, conclusion and enforcement of contracts, of complying with statutory and tax obligations as well as pursuing IDSs' legitimate interests, is necessary and mandatory and your consent is not required. 

Your consent is required for the other purposes set out above, i.e., to respond to requests for information, requests for samples of our products and for subscribing our newsletter.

Data gathered

The data which may be collected and handled by IDS, for the purposes of this Privacy Policy, is the following:

  1. Name;
  2. Adress;
  3. Tax Payer Number (for purposes of conclusion and implementation of contracts);
  4. Contact details (e-mail and/or telephone);

 

Transfer of personal data

For the purposes above and solely to the extend necessary or required, IDS may communicate personal data to third parties or to official entities. 

 

Subcontractors

Personal data gathered may be handled by a reliable service provider, contracted by IDS for the purposes set out by IDS, who undertakes to observe the guidelines and instructions given, complying with the applicable legal regulations regarding personal data, information security and other applicable regulations.

 

Personal data international transfer

IDS operates within the territory of the European Union only, and therefore, no personal data is foreseen to be transferred internationally outside the European Economic Area. 

 

Security measures

IDS applies the appropriate technical and organizational measures to safeguard the security of the personal data provided. The data is handled with the necessary level of security to prevent its loss, modification, copying, theft and disclosure, as well as its unauthorised access and/or processing. IDS undertakes to: 

  1. Implement security measures to ensure that the personal data is protected; 
  2. Make appropriate use of personal data for the purposes intended;
  3. Ensure that personal data gathered is handled by the employees whose involvement is deemed necessary, for the purposes set out above, and that those employees are bound by the duty of secrecy and confidentiality.

 

Storage period

Personal data collected will be kept for the necessary time required to meet the purposes for which they were collected, plus the limitation and expiry periods of the related rights, and may also be kept after this period in order to comply with legal obligations.. 

 

Rights of the personal data subjects

IDS hereby informs that the personal data owners have the right to, through our contacts mentioned above, and in accordance with the applicable law, request the following: 

  1. Access to the personal data concerned;
  2. The rectification of inaccurate or incomplete personal data; 
  3. Handling limitation; 
  4. The right to the portability of concerned data; 
  5. Oppose the handling or erasure of its personal data, to the extent that this does not hinder the execution of the contract and complies with the legal and fiscal obligations incumbent upon the handler and the protection of its legitimate interests.
